Machinima Hires Gaming Industry Vet Amy Venier As Vice President, Gaming Partnership Development



LOS ANGELES, CA – October 17, 2011 – Machinima, the number one video entertainment brand for gamers around the world, today announced the naming of gaming industry veteran Amy Venier to the newly created position of Vice President, Gaming Partnership Development, a role that will enhance and expand the company’s partnerships with video game publishers. Before joining Machinima, Venier worked at CBS Interactive (previously CNET Networks) for nine years, most recently overseeing video game advertising for three of their properties – GameSpot, GameFAQs, and Metacritic. Prior to that role, as Vice President, Game Advertising, Venier also worked on launch campaigns for and Venier started her media career in 1996 at Ziff Davis, and has held sales and management positions with Future US and Condé Nast. Over the last fifteen years, she has moved from print to digital media sales, with a focus on youth marketing. At Machinima, Venier will continue to work closely with game publishers to build integrated brand campaigns, build innovative launch strategies, expand awareness and engagement beyond launch and between follow-on titles and downloadable content, and create authentic and vibrant communities through Machinima’s audience of nearly 90 million global viewers, influencer network and presence at consumer events.
