1. The “Age of Conan" presented by Machinima.com (the "Contest") begins at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time ("PT") on April 13, 2009 and ends at 12:00pm. PT on June 1, 2009 ("Contest Period").  

The winner is determined by video views collected during the “voting period” that starts when we officially post the finalists on YouTube on 12:00 p.m. June 5th, 2009 – ends at 12:00 pm. PT, June 29th, 2009. 

Videos must be between 45 seconds and 2 minutes. Videos under 45 seconds or over 2 minutes will be disqualified. 

Online access via Contest website (as detailed below) is required for detailed information and instructions. 

*Submission Period: on or about 12:00 p.m. PT, April 13, 2009 – 12:00 p.m. PT, May 11, 2009.

*Submission review by Machinima.com to select top 10 best videos. (“Finalists”): May 12, 2009 – May 15, 2009.

*Posting of Finalists for public viewing: starts 12:00 p.m. June 5th, 2009 – ends at 12:00pm. PT, June 29th, 2009.

*Winners Announced: on or about June 30th, 2009. 

2. Eligibility: Contest entry is open worldwide to anyone 17 years of age or older (parental consent required if under 18) and of majority age in jurisdiction of legal residency at the time of entry and have Internet access. Voting is open worldwide. 

Employees, producers and directors of Machinima, Inc. (the "Sponsor"), Fun Com, Electronic Arts Inc. and NVIDIA (collectively the “Promotion Parties”), their respective affiliated, parent and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotional agencies, Webmasters and Web suppliers and the immediate family members (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, ward, daughter or son) or members of the households of such employees or directors or family members (whether or not related) are not eligible to enter or win a prize. By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. 

3. To Enter: During the Contest Period, go to http://www.machinima.com/AgeOfConan (the "Web Site") to review Contest rules, and guidelines, register for the Contest, read information on how to enter the Contest and enter the Contest.  By entering, you agree to all the official rules contained herein as well as the rules contained in the contest submission form. 
 
 
 

4. Participation: 

   1. Limit one (1) person (author) may be named on any one (1) entry. Multiple entries from the same person are permitted, but each must be submitted entirely separate from any other entry.

   2. Contestants must be 17 years of age or older (parental consent required if under 18) at the time of entry and of majority age in jurisdiction of legal residency at the time of entry and have Internet access.

   3. All entries (submissions) must be submitted via upload and received on the Web Site during the Contest Period.

 To enter, submit/upload the following as directed at the Web Site:

          * a machinima video recording (in WMV, MOV or AVI format, maximum file size of 200 mb).  

5. Entries received via the Web Site after 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on May 31, 2009 will be deemed ineligible for participation in the Contest. Any attempt at entry except as above stated is void.  

6. By submitting an entry you irrevocably assign to Sponsor and the Promotion Parties, the right to display, modify and edit your entry for the purposes of promoting and advertising your entry and the Contest online.  By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official rules including all eligibility requirements. By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their names, images, likenesses, photo, voices, and biographical materials for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes by Sponsor, Promotion Parties, or a party designated by Sponsor or the Promotion Parties, including but not limited to, any online announcements and announcements, without additional notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law. Entrants agree that any and all disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Entrants agree that the conditions of submission set forth in these Official rules, and all documents and agreements incorporated in these Official rules by reference, solely govern the relationship between entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Contest. 

7. Promotion Parties assume no responsibility for illegible, lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete entries, system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, or other telecommunications malfunctions. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest should any unauthorized intervention or other cause beyond the control of the Sponsor affect the administration or conduct of the Contest. 

8. The rights granted under this paragraph shall extend to Sponsor, the Promotion Parties and their respective affiliated companies with respect to all entries and all other submitted materials related to the Contest, including those submitted by non-winners and winners.  

9. Judging Criteria: One (1) winner will be chosen by the online community, via most video views received, from all the eligible entries. All decisions by the Sponsor and the Promotion Parties are final. One grand prize winner will be determined by the public based on the total number of video views received from the 10 finalists we post on YouTube.  Machinima.com can select a winner if there's a tie, or reject a winner if the content is deemed unsuitable. 

Starting at noon, June 5, 2009 (that being 12:00 P.M. PDT), anyone can simply go to the Web Site and watch a video. Voting will end at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time on June 29, 2009. Winners Announced: on or about June 30, 2009.

All taxes and any other costs and expenses not specifically stated within these Official rules are the sole responsibility of the winners.  prizes may not be transferred, exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s and the Promotion Parties sole discretion. Specifics of the prizes are in Sponsor’s and the Promotion Parties reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to award a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prizes or a portion of the prizes is unavailable.

All winners must sign, complete and return a notarized Release of Liability, Affidavit of Eligibility and (except where prohibited) a Publicity Release and an IRS #W-9 form for domestic residents before receiving any prize. This Contest is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any and all other costs, fees, taxes and expenses not explicitly stated herein as being awarded, are the sole responsibility of the prize recipient. 

11. Winners: The selected potential winners will be notified by email or telephone within twenty-four (24) hours of the close of the Contest Period. The potential winners will have forty-eight (48) hours from the moment such notification is issued to respond to such notification by following the instructions provided therein. If a potential winner timely responds to such notification, he/she may then be sent an affidavit of eligibility and a liability/publicity release by email, and must complete, execute and fax all required documentation within forty-eight (48) hours of issuance as well as mail all required documentation within ten (10) days of issuance. If the potential winner does not reply to the notification within twenty-four (24) hours of its issuance or does not fax the executed documents within forty-eight (48) hours of their issuance (if applicable), he/she is ineligible, or he/she cannot or does not comply with these official rules as determined by Sponsor, he/she will be disqualified, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be determined, at Sponsor’s discretion. In the event of noncompliance with either the official rules or any of these time periods, an alternate winner may be determined at Sponsor’s discretion. Sponsor has the right to revise dates and procedures mentioned in these rules.
