Just thinking about the way I’m going to relate to this contest makes me feel like Rose in The Golden Girls. She always discussed her life in St. Olaf’s. This, of course, dates me back to before some of you were born.

However, back in my Second Life machinima days, we would run a contest called the Ed Wood Machinima Festival. Ed Wood’s movies were so bad and campy that they ended up becoming cult classics. Participants would find out the theme of the film only 48 hours before it was due. I wanted to do something similar, only with World of Warcraft and Hallow’s End. Machinimators will have from now until November 2nd at 11:47pm PST to create the best worst machinima possible, relating to the theme of Candy Corns & Crackheads.

Here are the basic guidelines, which will be followed shortly with the rules and regulations:

• Machinima must be relating to World of Warcraft
• Machinima must be between 1 and 5 minutes long
• Machinima must contain the title “Candy Corns & Crackheads”
• Machinima must be Halloween or Hallow’s End themed
• Machinima must not be larger than 100mb
• Machinima must be formatted in one of the following formats - WMV, MOV, or AVI
• Machinima must be submitted before November 2nd, 2008 at 11:47pm PST

Now for the prizes:

• One (1) winner will receive a $100 dollar gift certificate to Jinx.com, a 500gb external hard drive, and some Mana Energy Drink potions!
